About the Film

During the tense period post-9/11 in Washington D.C, a number of people of South Asian descent were racially profiled and attacked. South Asian Voices of D.C. is a short documentary which was broadcasted on WHUT-PBS channel in the Washington D.C. metro area, that profiles South Asian artists and activists who are speaking up during this moment in history. Whether they are using dance or poetry or organizing rallies, these citizens are making way for change.
